President Zeki Demirtaşoğlu recently visited the Nigerian Embassy and held an important meeting with the Nigerian Ambassador Representative Münir Siraji. This visit is of great importance as one of the steps taken in line with the aim of promoting our association on the international platform and developing sectoral cooperation. During the meeting, the mission, activities and role of our association in the sector were explained in detail. Our President gave information about the projects and collaborations of our association at the international level and underlined the joint works that will benefit both Türkiye and Nigeria.
Nigeria, as a country with significant potential in the agriculture and food sectors, is open to developing a strong cooperation with Türkiye, especially in the fields of flour, feed and grain processing. In this context, President Demirtaşoğlu brought up what can be done to increase mutual cooperation between the two countries. While sharing detailed information about the achievements of our sector in innovative projects and products, the work that can be done with Nigeria was evaluated.
At the end of the meeting, President Zeki Demirtaşoğlu presented the 2023 Almanac of our association to Ambassador Representative Münir Siraji. During the presentation, it was hoped that the two countries would establish more partnerships in the agriculture and food processing sectors and step into new projects.
The visit is important to increase the international recognition of both our association and our industry and to prepare the ground for stronger cooperation with Nigeria.
