Mr Zeki Demirtaşoğlu, President of the Association, attended IDMA 2024 Fair and mentioned the recent activities and future targets of the association in his opening speech. Addressing the participants, Mr Demirtaşoğlu emphasised the importance they attach to education as an association and their work in this field.
At the beginning of his speech, Demirtaşoğlu explained the projects carried out by the association in order to encourage education in the sector. He stated that DESMÜD organises various training programmes to increase the knowledge and skills of the sector employees. Emphasising that the trainings provided especially in the field of technology and automation contribute greatly to the development of the sector, Demirtaşoğlu said that in this way, employees can do their jobs more efficiently and safely, and that efforts are being made to eliminate the difficulties of sector stakeholders in finding qualified personnel.
He also stated that in order to increase the interest of young generations in the sector, cooperation is made with universities and internship programmes are organised. Demirtaşoğlu stated that the association organises various events to introduce the sector to young people and help them build their careers in this field. Stating that training and internship programmes are of critical importance for the future of the sector, Demirtaşoğlu explained that these activities aim to train a qualified workforce.
