The Association of Mill and Sector Machinery Manufacturers (DESMÜD) continues its activities in order to strengthen its relations with many parts of the world and to increase its sectoral connections to the highest levels. Decmüd, the only representative of the Turkish milling sector in the field of civil society, met with the Balkan Migrants and Economic Research Foundation (BISAV) at the signing ceremony of the agreement on cooperation to be implemented between the two sides to improve relations with SKYLAR, which operates in Africa, after the agreement it signed with the Balkans. Now Decmüd is the only representative of the Turkish milling industry in the field of civil society. Although it has been only 1.5 years since its establishment, DESMÜD, which has signed many important activities in Turkey, also gives great priority to its work in the Balkan geography, where our country has very important historical and commercial ties. In this context, DESMÜD, which has been conducting negotiations with BISAV for some time, has taken the first step to engage in future activities with BISAV in order to contribute to the milling sector in the Balkans. While the “memorandum of understanding” was signed between the two non-governmental organizations, the future of joint work was also discussed at the meeting held at the Decmud Headquarters in Ankara.
DESMUD Chairman of the Board of Directors Zeki Demirtaşoğlu stated that there are already fraternal ties with the Balkans and that Turkish milling has serious initiatives in this geography so far. Demirtaşoğlu stated that Turkey is the leader of the technology developing in the milling sector in the world and continued as follows; “Turkey, which uses Milling 4.0 in its sector in the world, will hopefully continue to make great contributions to the development of technology in the Balkans in the coming period, within this framework Decmüd and BISAV will henceforth see an important role between the two geographies.”
BISAV Chairman of the Board of Directors Yüksel Özkale pointed out that they are a non-governmental organization that plays a bridge role between Turkey and the Balkans and said that they will further develop the brotherhood inherited from history. Dec. In addition, emphasizing that the acceleration of commercial activities will have a positive impact on relations, he said, “It is extremely flattering to see Turkish business people taking the lead worldwide in such an important sector. The annual export of 1.62 billion dollars made in the mill sector is really a figure that should be underlined. Hopefully, we plan to contribute to this as well. We will implement good projects together, even if we have some contribution to the development of the Turkish business world, how happy we are ...”he said.
