Our President Zeki Demirtaşoğlu announced that we have realized exports of more than 2 billion dollars in 2020. Our President stated that we have exported milling machines to 140 countries and established turnkey factories; “The year 2020 was really very difficult due to the pandemic. The pandemic, which has a negative impact on all life, has of course damaged every large and small business engaged in trade. However, our state mobilized the opportunities at its disposal and supported its citizens in order to bypass this process and continues to do so. Of course, we industrialists were also affected by this process, but the years of experience, the knowledge we have gained and the correct and proper work we have done in the past allowed us to get through this process a little easily. Of course, this does not mean that we have done everything we aimed for or wanted. As DESMÜD, we wanted to close the year 2020 with an export of 2.8 billion dollars and provide dollar input to our country and generate added value, but this was not possible under pandemic conditions. Nevertheless, we have tried to do production with our might and create employment even in these difficult conditions without ever stopping our machines. Although we did not get the full reward of our efforts in the last one-year period, we managed to realize an export of more than 2 billion dollars in 2020 as the Mill Machinery Sector. Our sector, which accounts for 25-26 percent of machinery exports, will continue to work to add value to our country and to wave our flag proudly all over the world,”he said.
